Welcome to KALASRISHTI ARTIST RESIDENCY.  this residency is slightly different from other residency programme as we organise at different places in INDIA.

INDIA has a rich diverse cultural differences and we intent to put this forward towards international artists so that participants get freedom to choose and explore their choice of interest and also able to do multi projects at once. so this programme gives freedom  and chance to interact with local artists and artisan from remote village area of INDIA where traditional folk art lives and get inspiration for their cross-cultural project.

this programme is open to all visual-artists,writer,photographer,poet and designers.

KALASRISHTI ARTIST RESIDENCY is a initiative of a group of artists based in INDIA who comes from different walks of life and would love to put forward cross-cultural art practice at international platform so that a harmony remain  intact into heart of art soul without  restriction of geographical boundaries.

this programme gives freedom to all participants to choose any medium to fulfil the aim of this residency without any restriction.

 Artist-Residency Programme

Our programme invites application round-the-year and participant may show their intent to stay from one to three months according to their convenience.

DECEMBER -FEBRUARY,

SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER

currently we are organising our programe in Gujarat and Rajasthan state in INDIA , as it has rich traditional folk art within its interior villages. these places are perfect for painters, photographers,poets, film makers and writers to get ideas and inspiration.

we encourage and facilitate participant to travel and explore various places and interact with local artists instead of working in four wall of studio room so we called it open air artist residency programme and we support for your accomodation, food and travel within these places at our best.

so, participant may not  expect  three star accomodation but we accomodate you with host  artisan in village and/or a decent rented home stay,as our purpose is to provide participant real traditional cross culture experience and we will support you all the time at any venue.

we can only give you assurance that you will enjoy this programme with us.

GURU-SHISHYA (Apprenticeship) Programme:
we are happy to announce this programme for those who are interested in learning century old rich Rajasthani traditional painting and craft work from traditional artist from Rajasthan.
 
participant will stay at their home and learn these traditional art which is haritage and culture of these region.
