Visionary Entrepreneur,An Art-Educator,Nature Lover Umang Nayak is a founding member and Director of Kalasrishti Art Foundation which is NOT-FOR-PROFIT -ORGANISATION registered under Section 8 Companies Act.

He is a Masters in Fine-Arts(Sculpture) (2003) from Faculty of Fine Arts,M. S. University of Baroda and participated in Lalitkala Exhibitions,

Art workshops, and Art Symposiums. He was called as a Jury Member in Art Competitons  organised by many Schools in Orissa,Maharashtra and Rajasthan District.

He has been Awarded as  Best Art Teacher Award by Avantika Art Competitions and  He has also served at government social projects in the capacity of project head.He has been served  as an Art-Educator in various  Day as well as India's Top Residential Schools  for a more than twelve years.

 

Kalasrishti is a Dream project of him and for a last decades He was in the process of make it happen and  by the God's grace it happened in 2020.When he was studying Fine arts at Graduation level, he travelled  almost all parts of India and felt that He should do something for  Indian traditional as well as contemporary Art forms including performing  Arts as he found that hidden jewels of Indian crafts community need to be promoted in a way that this marginalised society can live thrivingly across the country and the journey started from here...during last decades he has been working individually to support artisans families silently wherever he goes;but he wanted to go beyond this limitations and wanted to grow it in a bit larger scale with like-minded people and as he could see that He has it!!! and this way Kalasrishti Art Foundation formed up officially with his well wishers.

He is running an Art Academy franchise programme for his livelyhood .

Kalasrishti is a just effort he is making to sustain/empower marginalized artisan family across country and women producers and promote rich traditional culture of India.

He has accepted Commissions for sculptures and murals at Govt. and Public institutions in New Delhi, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat, INDIA.

Ajay Kanwal currently teaches as Assistant Professor at the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat, INDIA.

Ajay Kanwal (1973, Himachal Pradesh) studied Sculpture at the Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu (BFA - 2000) and the Faculty of Fine Arts, The M S University, Baroda (MFA - 2004). He has been invited to participate in Artist in residence programme for 4 weeks at De Montfort University, Leicester, England, UK (2013) and to deliver the Lecture on Indian contemporary practice of Visual arts, He did Presentation on research works done under Teacher’s exchange programme, Talk on Indian religious philosophy of the concept of ‘Maya’ (An Illusion) at Fine arts, De Montfort University, Leicester, England (2013),. He has received Research grant for research project ‘Patina and Surface Treatment on Metals’ from Research and Consultancy Cell, MSU, Baroda (2015) National Academy Award from Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (2015). The Junior Fellowship scheme of ‘Fellowship to Outstanding Person in the Field of Culture’ from Ministry of culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi (2011-12), the AIFACS Award, New Delhi, in collaboration with the J & K Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages, Jammu (2001), HRD National Scholarship from Government of India, New Delhi (2001-03), Lalit Kala Grant from Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, 2000. He is M.A., B. Ed., M.Phil. & National Gold Medalist in elocution competition during his collage time.
He has earned a great experience and reputation in field of Education. He has proved himself a great
leader being a „Operation Head‟ of SAFFRON EDUWORLD PVT. LTD, a well know and award winning
school management group of Saurashtra. He says…
“Promoting art is just my little way of spreading love, happiness, positivity and spiritual healing to the
lives of others.”
“I enjoy bringing a smile to another human being and Motivating them to do so is what I love to do.”
His mission is to recharge and reinvent those who are content with their discontent. He wants to be
the catalyst that enables them to see themselves acquiring more and achieving more.
He has been also conducting Motivational Seminars for Students, Teachers & Parents.
His objectives are simple:
 Challenges - I believe that no one has the answers to all the questions, but I can challenge
others to live their lives with a positive attitude. If I can live a happy life ….. then you can, too!
 Encouragement - As a „A Art Promotor‟, my desire is to encourage others to keep on living a
happy and successful life despite the challenges they face. And that‟s only possible through
Art.
 Progress - My undying passion for a happy, purpose filled life will give your event a brightened
spirit, and will provide those who attend a reason to "go home happy and charged."
His determination and persistence in creating new ways to help individuals overcome negativity and
his philosophy- “Do whatever it takes to achieve success” led him to become a distinguished
authority in harnessing human potential and success. His passion to learn and his hunger to discover
greatness in the powers of the universe helped him to realize the ability in every human being to use
their true hidden potential.
